Overview
Balancing machines are widely used in modern machinery, and the choice of lubrication method is also very important. Traditional lubrication methods generally use oil lubrication, but during the unweighting process, chips are easily dropped and stuck on the journal bearings, affecting the accuracy of the unweighting balance.
If the balancing machine journal bearings use micro-lubrication, it can effectively solve the problem of chips easily falling and getting stuck on the journal bearings, affecting the accuracy of the unweighting balance, and will also bring multiple benefits:
1. Using micro-lubrication can reduce oil consumption, saving energy and being environmentally friendly;
2. The running cost of the micro-lubrication system is very low, with compressed air as the power source of the system, and low energy consumption;
3. It can avoid damage caused by chips getting stuck between the journal bearings and the journals when using oil lubrication;
4. It can provide good lubrication for the drill bit and extend the service life of the cutting tool—the drill bit.
Compared with traditional lubrication methods, micro-lubrication has many advantages. To ensure the effectiveness of micro-lubrication, the following two points need special attention:
1. Dry and stable air source: The stability of the air source pressure is an important factor for the normal operation of the micro-lubrication device. The power source of the micro-lubrication device is compressed air, so the stability of the compressed air pressure is very important. The moisture in the compressed air will directly affect the atomization effect, and the lubrication effect will also be affected, so the stability of the air source pressure and the dryness of the air source are very important.
2. The design of the oil mist output channel size of the balancing machine journal bearing is crucial, and its rationality directly affects the lubrication effect of the journal bearing. For the design of the journal bearing, in practical applications, the design channel of the journal bearing does not need to be too large, and can generally be calculated according to the size of the journal. Micro-lubrication itself has a very small passage diameter at the lubrication terminal. If the channel is too large, it will lead to insufficient air supply and excessive oil mist output, leading to an impact on the operating environment. This needs to be given sufficient attention during design.
